Tracking kinetochore fibers using a MatLab-based algorithm:
Left, a movie of tubulin-GFP in mitosis in S2 cells shows thick bundles of microtubules attached to chromosomes (kinetochore fibers). On the right, a student in the course wrote a Matlab code that tracks the postions of these kinetochore fibers. See Vale research section.
