More than sixty colleges and universities have approved the SES for credit.  Students from non-affiliated colleges and universities may receive credit for the semester through Brown University.

Students from non-affliated colleges and universities may participate in the SES through Brown University and will receive a full semester of credit from Brown.  Courses in the SES taken through Brown are offered through the Center for Environmental Studies and are numbered SES-ES146, SES-ES147, SES-ES148 and SES-ES149.  You can also consult the Brown University Online Catalogue (BOCA) for information.

Students accepted into the SES from such non-affliated institutions should expect to take a temporary leave of absence from their home institutions for the semester and will become guest students at Brown, will pay tuition to Brown and will pay room and board and other fees to the Marine Biological Laboratory.
